All ages community outreach, schools Pk, elementary, middle Needs the program addresses: Supporting data indicates that our outreach life science environmental educational programs Wildlife friends supporting the curriculum instruction for Pk- 3rd grades and 7th grade life science. Life science curriculum encompasses 6 years of academic study starting with Pk it is imperative for sustainability of our world. Title 1 schools: (most schools are title 1) title 1 funding is allocated for reading and math only. Life science is left behind within academic learning. Program topics: Learning the interlinking ecological components within the world we share. Learning that we all have a responsibility to the world around us, caring for all things, working together, stewardship and our responsibilities. Grades Pk-k / Kindergarten Using my senses to understand my world. How we can make a difference- Individual stewardship, Conservation, protecting habitat and natural resources (reduce, reuse and recycle). Grade 1 How I interact with my world. Life’s basic needs of all living things to survive food, water, shelter, habitat (territory space and why it is important) Grade 2 Change occurs all around us. Weather and man change the earth, water, air, land, plants, and animals, living systems plants, animals are interdependent with their living and nonliving surroundings Grade 3 Our Interactions in our world. Interactions with living and non-living aspects of the environment, interrelationship within the ecosystem and why it is important, food chain, the flow of energy Grade 7 Life Science emphasizes an understanding of change, cycles, patterns, and relationships in the living world. Relationships among species in the living world, ecosystems, biomes, the universality that maintains life's processes, individual contribution.
Petting Zoo Barnyard Buddies: All ages Educational & therapeutic. Husbandry care practices and learning about each animal's contribution and ecological value.
Species groups herds, flocks, colonies, etc. their connections and purpose and why it is important. Learning the interlinking components of all things.
Pony Rides & Therapy Ponies: All ages Fun, Promotes healing, compassion and leadership skills.
